Stay at Home Book Tag

I’ve been scratching my head thinking of things that I can post for this month. To be honest, I’m running out of ideas. So for inspiration, I turned to YouTube and the booktubers I follow. Luck would have it, there is this Tag that is circulating around that seems promising. So without further ado, here is the Stay at Home Book Tag created by Princess of Paperback. I don’t follow her personally, but someone who I do follow follows her. So check her out if you want to check out the tag. Also, give some love to Bookables because its from her channel that I found the tag.

Disclaimer: Please note that I’m not making light of the situation by posting this. I do know that the pandemic that is going on around us is serious and I wish everyone safety. However, since almost everyone is stuck at home it’s nice to have something enjoyable to read/watch. So please don’t take offense to this tag. Thank You!

1. Laying in Bed: Book you could/have read in a day

So basically I just put any cozy mystery novel. Most of them are very quick reads that’s why it’s so nice to pick them up. It’s like binge-watching a show, reading this genre is just like that. Quick, fun, and easy. I’ve been crazy reading these books and these four just happens to be the lastest ones that I’ve read.

2. Snacking: Guilty pleasure book

This series is definitely my guilty pleasure. It’s not that it’s badly written it just very different from the other cozies that I’ve read before. Plus, some of the topics that they do discuss, such as boyfriends, diets, and weight, are sometimes cringe-y. The author doesn’t make fun of it but at the same time, I feel that she does. Anyways, I would still suggest people try the series out because it is Hilarious.

3. Netflix: Series you want to start

This is the duology that I’ve been craving to read. I’ve been wanting to start these books since it was first released but never get around to reading them. I don’t want to get into The Shadow and Bone Trilogy and I’m afraid that I might not enjoy these two as much if I don’t get to those three first. So I’ve been hesitating.

4. Deep Clean: Been on your TBR for ages

If you asked me this question last year my answer would have been Agatha Christie’s Poirot series, I’ve been wanting to finish those books since I was in high school. These two books have been on my TBR forever! I’m pretty sure I still lived with my parents when I added these in my TBR. I want to get to them but never got around to picking it up.

5. Animal Crossing: Book u recently bought because of hype

Aurora Rising

I haven’t bought anything recently and the books that I did purchase recently are not really the hyped-up books. Even though this was released last year, this was my latest purchase. These two authors are well known to YA readers and there was a lot of hype around it. As many of you know, I’ve read and finished this book and LOVED it! The second book is in my Most Anticipated Release for this year.

6. Productivity: Book you learned or had an impact on you

Book Thief

I’m going with an oldie but a goodie book because this is such an amazing read and you learn so much about human perseverance and our history as a whole. This is definitely one of those books that everyone should read at least once in their life.

7. Facetime: A book you were gifted

Harry Potter 4 Illustrated

I don’t really get a lot of books gifted to me because not a lot of people know what genre I like or which books I already own. However, my husband knows that I’ve been collecting the illustrated version of the Harry Potter series, so when this was released he purchased it for me.

8. Self Care – what is one thing you have done recently to look after yourself

This is an easy one. I did a DIY facial exfoliating mask on myself using organic ingredients. It was so nice and my face was so smooth. I will definitely do it again.

BONUS – name a book coming out soon

I just recently posted my Most Anticipated Release of 2020 so this one will be easy.

These books are going to be released in May, June, and July.

So there you go. This is the Stay at Home Book Tag. I actually enjoyed answering these questions. Let me know if you guys did this tag. I TAG everyone who wants to check it out.

Happy Reading and Stay Safe!
