This week was a pretty successful week. I was able to finish two books for the readathon I participated in. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I’ll keep reading this month.
As previously stated, I participated in the Read-EH-thon from July 1-8 and I think I did pretty well.
I definitely need to finish this book by this week and have a review up before July 10. I’m cutting it a bit close, I’m pretty sure my review will be late, but its just been a really bad reading months for me. This book was given to me as an ARC by the publishers and I want to get to it.
I’m not trying to be overly ambitious, but I do want to be able to get this book read by the end of this month. I’ve been dying to pick it up, but like I said, not the best year for me in terms of reading.
I really botched the readathon that I tried to participate in last week. So this week I want to crack down on some of my TBR to at least get some books read off by the end of this month. I wasn’t able to finish any books this whole month yet and I really want to remedy that. These Book Date Monday’s usually help me get my act together.
So as I mentioned, I really didn’t pick up a book since the end of May, therefore, I can’t include any book in this section
I’m still not sure which of the two I’m going to pick, therefore, I decided to add both of them. I’m actually leaning more on Dan Brown’s book than the other, but we’ll see.
If I don’t get a chance to read Rattled Bones in the upcoming week then I want to get to it before July. Also, I really have to get a move on The Fifth to Die since it is an ARC. Also if I get to all those books, then Invictus is another book I want to read.
It’s been awhile since I did a Book Date Monday, so here are I am to remedy that problem. Let’s get right into it.
I’ve been reading this book since the beginning of May, but wasn’t able to finish it before the Disney Readathon, so technically I had to put this aside and start reading my first book for the readathon.
This is my first book for the Disney Readathon that I’m participating in, if you want to see my TBR please click here. Anyways, The Hammer of Thorn is the second book in the Magnus Chase trilogy. It’s ok so far. I haven’t gotten far into in for me to enjoy it.
I’m debating between the two books. I’ll have to see how I’m feeling to see which one I would prefer.
So that’s a quick way to update everyone one what I’m reading and thinking of reading next. Hopefully, I’ll be able to get to all these books this week.
I haven’t been reading much, in fact February was a bust so I really want to remedy that for this month. Although I didn’t create a TBR for March there are still some books that I want to get to this month, I’m just not 100% decided. Therefore, in comes Book Date Mondays. I usually try to do these when I’m undecided on what books I want to read next.
Technically I read this a few weeks ago, the problem is I haven’t read any books so I’m putting it as ‘Last Week’, but we all know that’s a lie. I enjoyed reading it, I really enjoyed the characters, the plot and learning about Norse mythology. Can’t wait to pick up the next book.
I’ve been meaning to pick up a Sanderson book, but I want to start out small, so I decided to pick up his The Reckoners trilogy. I heard really good things about it, but never really had a chance to start it. I want something gripping to startup my reading for this month.
Obviously I’m not going to read all three books next week, but I’m undecided on which one to pick up. I really want to re-read Ready Player One before it comes out of theaters, but I have until the end of this month to get to it. So we’ll see how I’m feeling after I finish Steelheart.
I haven’t been doing much reading these past few days because I’ve been addicted to this game on my phone and I’ve been focusing on that more than my reading.
I’m currently participating in a readathon called Series Crackdown, if you want to learn more about it, please check out my post linked here. The series I’m going to try to finish within this month is the Magnus Chase trilogy.
I doubt that I’ll get to this by the end of the book, but I really want to try to get to them.
So that’s it for me this week. I haven’t really been doing much reading and my vacation at the end of the month is not going to help. I already figured out that my reading with be light this month though.
My first Book Date Monday: What are you reading? for the year 2018! It’s been awhile since I posted one. So as usually this Book Date Monday is hosted by
Kathryn @ Book Date, so if you want to participate, make sure you check her blog out and tag her.
Last Week I Finished:
I actually enjoyed both these books and can’t wait to read the next book in the Diabolic Trilogy. I’ll be posting a review for Meet Cute so stay tuned for that one.
I’m currently in the middle of The Amateurs by Sara Shepard, but it’s not grabbing me as much as I wanted it too. I really want to start the re-read on Ready Player One by Earnest Cline and I think that’s hindering me from enjoying the former. I’m going to start Ready Player One this week and hopefully get it out of my system so that I can finish Shepard’s novel.
I’m really yearning for more fantasy or science fiction novels this past few months and I’m not complaining because I really need to get some of my Sci-fi and Fantasy novels read. I’m not really sure what I will be picking up with my current mood, but these two books are in my TBR for the month. So we’ll see.

It’s been awhile since I did a Book Date Monday, only because I haven’t been reading much. This month I’m slowly getting a bit better and I actually have something to put on this week’s Book Date Monday.
Last Week I Finished:
I was able to finish these two books last week and I really surprised myself. Anyways, both books are great reads and I totally recommend both books. Warcross is getting a lot of buzz in the Book Community because of the author, but it’s actually one hype that I’m glad I got on.
I found myself without a book today, so I had to grab something from Overdrive that I can read quick. Since Laura Levine’s Jaine Austen is my go-to series, I decided to check if Overdrive had it and just my luck, they do!
I’m really in a mystery mood so I might pick up either one of these books. I don’t know if I’m leaning more to thriller or detective.
So that’s it for my Book Date Monday this week, hopefully, I’ll do better than last time keeping track of my reading.
